Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you have two services?

We have more people attending than our worship center can seat comfortably at one time.

Is there a difference between the two services?

No, both services offer a "blended" style of worship.  This mix of Traditional and Contemporary styles appeals to a variety of worshippers.

What do I wear?

Dress as you feel appropriate.  In our services you will see suits and ties, as well as jeans and t-shirts.

It’s my first time -- where do I go?

Please look for our greeters at the front doors.  They are here to answer questions and make you feel at home.  Also, located just inside you will find our Welcome Desk, someone will also be there to answer your questions.
Is there childcare during Church?

Our nursery is available for all children birth-three years old during both services.  Your child’s comfort and safety are our top concerns.  All our nursery volunteers have undergone background checks.

Children 4 years and older are expected to attend worship with their parents.  Outside the Sanctuary are Children's Bulletins for your child to enjoy during the Worship service.

Do you have children’s church?

We see the church as a place to equip parents not to replace them as the primary spiritual influence in the lives of their kids.  We don’t have children’s church because we believe the best way for a child to learn how to follow Jesus is to watch their parents do it.

How do I get to First Baptist?

We are located at 325 W. McCarty Lane, on the corner of Hunter Road and McCarty Lane.

Do you have Bible Study for all ages?

“Sunday School” is not just for children. Sunday School provides a great foundation for children to learn that God’s word is truth and applicable in all avenues of life.

As adults we are to build upon that foundation.  We believe that God has designed us to be life long learners.  Our bible study groups allow us to learn not only from the Bible but also from the life experiences of those around us.

At First Baptist we recognize that we are better together.  Studying the Bible with others gives us the opportunity to apply what we learn, to be there for one another and to see God work in the lives of those around us.

How Many People Attend First Baptist Church?

On any given Sunday we average approximately 450-500 in Bible Study and Worship.
